Research Interest:
Beekeeping plays a vital role in supporting biodiversity, pollination, and sustainable agricultural development. This presentation will highlight my personal experience in traditional beekeeping methods used in rural Algeria, focusing on low-cost techniques and the use of natural resources to maintain bee health and productivity. I will explore how small-scale beekeepers contribute to food security and the preservation of the environment. The session will also discuss challenges such as climate change, disease management, and the need for knowledge exchange between local and international beekeeping communities. Through this contribution, I aim to shed light on the cultural and ecological value of bees in North Africa and encourage collaboration in the global fight to protect pollinators.
