Biography: Mr. Ismaila Seck, a veterinary epidemiologist with 18 years of experience, joined the FAO Animal Health Service in October 2022 as an Animal Health Officer at EMPRES, focusing on "One Health Intelligence and Early Warning." He has been instrumental in resource mobilization for West and Central Africa, specializing in risk analysis, modeling, and project implementation. Mr. Seck has developed risk-based surveillance systems and responded to outbreaks of Transboundary Animal Diseases and Zoonoses. He has collaborated with regional organizations and Member States, enhancing surveillance capacity and early warning systems. Previously, he served as the Regional Epidemiologist for ECTAD in West and Central Africa.
